About Atlas Rose

Atlas Rose is an avid student of history, a lover of philosophy, and a conservative who believes in restoring America to a state where liberty, not unrestrained freedom, was the ideal for all to strive toward. She believes that one must deal with reality and facts, even when that reality and those facts are hard, and she believes in wholesome dialogue and debate between those holding differing opinions.

When she isn’t working on an article for Atlas’s Island or researching some new topic relating to history, philosophy, or politics, she spends her time writing under her pen name Ariel Paiement over on the Fantasy Nook.

Her focus with this blog is to reach out to readers who are interested in real world events and philosophies. While she doesn’t separate her philosophy from her fiction, the focus of her fiction is predominantly on providing a good story, not on teaching or sharing real world facts. Therefore, the goal of Atlas’s Island is to provide the truth as based in facts, history, and research, a goal which is beyond the scope of the Fantasy Nook or any fantasy novel she may write in her lifetime.

Every article on Atlas’s Island is geared toward leaving the reader with something to ponder, a fresh perspective on reality, and the sources to do further digging on the topic if they so choose.

While she doesn’t expect to change everyone’s minds, Atlas’s hope is that at least some will take the time to listen to, to think about, and to engage rationally with her content.

She believes that no human being can be separated from what they believe. Your philosophy defines the most important aspects of who you are as a person. It will define where you end up in life and how you impact the world around you. Therefore, it is imperative for an individual to choose their philosophy wisely and with intent and to know exactly what it is they are choosing to believe.

The views presented in Atlas’s Island will be predominantly conservative, though at times they may contain some critiques of the conservative movement where it is deserved based on the facts pertaining to the given discussion. However, those with differing opinions are welcomed and encouraged, in fact, to come in with an open mind.
